What is Locktober?

Locktober was coined in the mid-2000s by Mr. Mike Joseph Fanoele of Omaha.

Mr. Mike was a confident but inept gambler. On the final day of a disappointing September, he foreshadowed victory unto the world by exclaiming "Locktober starts tomorrow!"

Locktober is a clever play on words sports bettors use to convey confidence in their ability to correctly pick an upcoming slate of games.
